Trip To Meers Oklahoma 2-1-09

Sunday, 2-1-09, was Superbowl Sunday. We had been invited to a Superbowl party at Russ & Linda's but Janice has a cold, so we couldn't go. The kids came over, well most of them. Amanda's husband Matt didn't come over because he was working and Matt, our son did not come over because he works mids at the Police Department and was still sleeping. So, Janice, Amanda, Amy & Dustin and me decided to make a run up the the Wichita Mountains and eat at Meers Restaurant and then come home. This is Beth, our waitress. I asked her if I could take her picture and she said no, that she didn't like cameras. Now, she doesn't like me...(grin)

This is a Meersburger. It is served on the pie pan..They have another burger, The Seismic Burger, which is larger than this one.

Amy, Janice & Amanda out front. When we got there is was fairly nice with a South wind. When we came out, the wind had changed to out of the North, and the temperature had started to drop. The front that was forecasted to hit Monday, came early.

Amy, Janice & Amanda are in the Artic, or so they thought, due to the Massive amount of snow behind them...They have yet to see a real Northern snowfall... That must be Admiral Byrd on the massive glacier behind them still on his Expedition

Here are Amy & Amanda, napping in the car, dreaming of that warm Texas weather & home, as we headed back to Wichita Falls Texas..That will conclude this post. We did not get to go up to the top of Mt. Scott due to them having the road up closed..
