Prior to heading out, Bob had to finish up some work.
Feel the love? Matt & Rachel in the back seat waiting for me & Sharon to clamber aboard so we can go....This was the 25th May
A mile or so from the campsite, we saw this..I took pictures for obvious reasons.
Wonder if we are related?
Bob said nice wishing on my part but no we weren't.
This overnight stay was brought to us by Bob & Sharon and Cardinal trailers...This is the sign on the aft starboard side of Bob and Sharon's trailer
Matt & Bob at the door
Char & Lou, Bob's seasonal neighbors..She is a hoot!! Lou was in Korea, in the Army, during the Korean war
Bob & Lou discussing TV reception
him to burp when he was a kid, but this, he must of learned from TV or something...
Bob & Sharon and Zena & Dominic, friends of Bob's and really great people.
Matt transporting Bob around...Watch out for those ditches Matt!!! (Matt wrecked his police car by going into a ditch & hitting a tree)
Sharon taking a much deserved break in the trailer. All she did was work.
Matt & Rachel outside just prior to the mass attack by the skeeters..I forgot to tell them that the Michigan State bird was the mosquito.
Bob inside the trailer checking his pics.
Rachel & Matt inside on the couch after a hard day of playing in the ice water
Rachel & Bob down on the dock by the stream
Matt walking out in the water.. He could only stay in a few minutes at a time..The water was so cold it was numbing his feet & ankles
Matt in the stream trying to coax Rachel to come on in with a "water's fine" comment..
Rachel & Matt by the fire..Bob put Matt in charge of the fire and Matt did a good job...
Sharon & Bob at dusk
Matt enjoys the fire
Sharon & Bob by the fire
Burn, Baby, Burn!!!!
The greatest flag on the planet!!! Long may she wave!!
Knowing Bob & Sharon are very methodical when they close up the trailer, I parked myself on the picnic table, stayed out of the way and later helped load the car
Matt at the car.. We went up there in Sharon's Ford Edge. I was amazed at how much stuff could be loaded inside that car & still seat 5 adults..I would love to get one for our next car..Janice wants to get rid of her PT Cruiser, so who knows?
When we got back to the house, Bob & Sharon did what all of us who have bikes & are away from them for a day do: go for a ride. Here is Sharon waiting for Bob to wheel out his bike from the garage.
Bob & Sharon ready to head out. Sharp bike Bob!!! Look at that grin on Sharon's face. She has already been bitten by the bug and has bought herself a fringed leather jacket...Way to go Sharon!!!! Welcome to the world of motorcycles!!!
Another of Bob & Sharon ready to go
My bike has an EFI (Electronic Fuel Ignition). Bob's bike has the old self adjust carb & choke. The good thing about EFI's are: you don't have to adjust the carb or jack with the choke as it is automatically done for you. The bad thing about adjusting chokes and messing with carbs are: if you forget to turn on the gas or fail to adjust the choke, you get about one house down the street and the bike quits, as demonstrated here by Bob who forgot to readjust his choke..It has happened to me many times on previous bikes and to just about everybody who has owned a non EFI bike....That's it for this post...Scroll down for more of the Michigan Trip 08. Until next post, be careful out there!!!........JOHN
