Michigan Trip 28 May 08 Detroit River

After leaving Comerica Park & Downtown Detroit, we went to the Detroit River in Wyandotte. While there, the Good Year blimp flew by and a River Barge passed by. We had a pretty good time there and I got to show Rachel what a real river looked like. Our rivers in Texas would be called creeks or at the most, streams here in Michigan. But we do appreciate our rivers in Texas, no matter what their size. REMEMBER: if ya want to see the pictures bigger, click the pic.

Matt eyeballing some suspicious looking minnows lurking about in the water. I think that is a new fishing pier behind him in front of the American legion.

Rachel, Mom & Matt with a River Barge coming in on Matt's left. I thought it was a Lake Freighter, but Bob said it was a river barge. He used to boat these waters, so he should know...

Mom walking towards me so we could walk to Matt's truck together..Well, she walked, I hobbled..Old age is catching up with me...We left the river & stopped at a Burger King in Lincoln Park and took goodies back to mom's to eat.....That's it for this blog.
