Michigan Trip 29 May 08 The Trip Home

On 29 May 08, we started our journey back to Texas from Michigan. Matt said he would drive until he got tired, then turn the wheel over to me. He got tired when we got home to Wichita Falls. This is the first trip I have gone to Michigan & not driven..It is rougher sitting passenger than driver...But, we had a blast up there & enjoyed being with everyone. I am looking to driving the motorcycle up there in October, not only to see everyone but also to ride with Bob. We have never had the opportunity to do that..So, until October, ya'll be safe & those of you who have bikes, keep the rubber on the road. REMEMBER: if you want to see the picture bigger, click on the picture...

Matt checking stuff as we gas up across from the Dunkin Donuts on Ford Rd/I-275 in Canton Michigan.

Matt settling in for the long haul..He did a great job..

Established on I-70 in Indiana.

The Indiana State Trooper's car that told us that we were parked in a handicapped zone. We looked hard at the ground & almost couldn't see the wheelchair emblem, it was faded so bad. Plus they had no sign posted. In Texas, this wouldn't of been enforceable, but I told Matt we weren't in Texas, so he moved the car. The Trooper was nice & didn't write us up.

The new stadium in Indianapolis.

Another shot of the new stadium in Indianapolis. That thing was immense!

The last pic taken on the trip. We stopped in Joplin Missouri for the final gas up, on Rangeline Road at the Conoco. So I took this of the Motel sign..We made it in Wichita Falls at exactly 3 a.m., 18 hours after leaving Bob's in Michigan. I stayed up and ran around paying a few bills on the motorcycle. I sat on the couch at 12:15 p.m. and Janice woke me up at 9 p.m. Nice little nap!!!! Till next post, cya later.................John
